Job summary

The Sanitation Technician at Maker’s Pride, LLC follows established procedures and SOPs to clean production equipment, ensuring safety and hygiene. They record sanitation activities and advise supervisors on progress and non-routine issues. Shifts include 1st: 6:00am–2:30pm, 2nd: 2:00pm–10:30pm (+$1.00 shift diff), 3rd: 10:00pm–6:30am (+$1.50 shift diff).

Weekend availability may be required. Full benefits offered after 90 days, with base pay starting at $17.10–$18.10 per hour depending on

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Technician follows procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

1st Shift: Monday thru Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

2nd Shift: Monday thru Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm + $1.00 shift differential

3rd Shift: Monday thru Friday, 10:00pm - 6:30am + $1.50 shift differential

(Must be open to work Weekends)

Physical Demands:

• Must be capable of being productive on 2nd-shift scheduling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop or crouch. In addition, some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs.
• The employee may occasionally move up to 45-50 pounds with a hoist, pallet-jack or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
• Employee will be trained and certified to use a scissor lift to perform cleaning tasks at heights of up to 20 feet above the plant floor.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills:

• Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or the Sanitation Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.

Work Environment:

• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.

Starting Pay: Sanitation Technician Level I $17.10/hr., Sanitation Technician Level II $18.10/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
