Job description

Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Worker is responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the production process. Additionally, this individual is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a high level of food safety and product quality through cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and the facility.
2. Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
3. Work with sanitation tools, chemicals, and food safety procedures.
4. Understand and properly use cleaning chemicals.
5. Possess prior food manufacturing experience.
6. Display good communication skills and ability to grasp tasks quickly.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months sanitation experience required.

Work Environment:

• Work performed in a cold environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Standing for long periods.
