Job summary

West Madison Foods in Thornton, IL is seeking a dedicated Sanitation worker to uphold food safety by keeping belts, conveyors, and packaging areas clean while ensuring high quality standards.

You will operate forklifts and cleaning equipment, follow GMPs, and assist with training teammates. This 3rd shift position runs 10 pm–6 am with pay of $20.00–$21.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of GMPs and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean belts, conveyors, palletizers in packaging areas.
• Maintain clean perimeters and floors; remove oil and residues.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and floor scrubbers safely.
• Wipe control panels and electrical boxes; pressure wash tanks area.
• Train others on jobs and non-routine duties; follow safety policies.
