Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Sanitation Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). You will keep production areas clean, follow Master Sanitation Schedule, and support safe, efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, walls, restrooms, handling cleaning solutions, operating floor scrubbers, trash removal, and assisting in maintaining GMP standards. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Must work well in a team environment with strong communication.
• Must be able to work extended hours while standing.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and follows all safety guidelines at all times.
• Performs general cleaning in plant areas per the Daily MSS.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms and remove trash.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Prepare cleaning solutions from water and detergents according to specs.
• Clean windows and mirrors with cleaners and sponges.
• Stock GMP dispensers.
• Remove trash and operate trash compactors and balers.
• Operate and clean floor scrubbers and related equipment.
