Job summary

Lyons Magnus LLC is seeking a Sanitation Technician for our Westlake, OH facility. This in-house, temporary position operates on the Master Sanitation Schedule to clean equipment and maintain a hygienic production area.

The role requires reliable communication with operations and maintenance teams, adherence to CIP procedures, and flexibility for overtime and weekend work. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of related experience preferred, and knowledge of GMP,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP is preferred.
• Knowledge of allergens and allergen control is desirable.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with management and support人员.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment cleaning per CIP procedures and Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Clean and maintain sanitary conditions in the plant and equipment.
• Disassemble/reassemble filters and processing equipment as needed.
• Handle and measure chemicals safely (acids, chlorines, caustics, quats) and record concentrations.
• Maintain PPE usage and follow safety procedures; support weekend and overtime as required.

A member of the Sanitation department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, the Sanitation Technician will be responsible for supporting all sanitation functions. This position will involve executing tasks on the master sanitation schedule and cleaning equipment while using CIP procedures. This position requires good communication and collaboration with operations, maintenance and internal management.

Pay Range

$21.00 per hour + Shift differential

Hours

• 2nd shift: 2:00pm - 12:00am
• 3rd shift: 9:30pm - 6:30am

Schedule

• 2nd: Monday - Saturday
• 3rd: Sunday - Friday

Must be willing to work OT and Weekends

Additional Information

This is an in-house temporary position aligned with a temp-to-hire process. While a permanent role may become available, conversion is not guaranteed and will depend on business needs, performance, and attendance. Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days.

Core Responsibilities

• Performs equipment cleaning per-CIP Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
• Performs plant cleaning as outlined by the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of plant.
• Disassembles and reassembles filters, screens and other processing equipment.
• Handling and use of chemicals including acids, chlorines, caustics and quats.
• Testing and recording of chemical concentrations.
• Visual inspection of equipment.
• Performs absence of allergen analysis.
• Performs clean equipment swabbing.
• Comply with appropriate safety procedures.
• Maintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May perform other duties as required.
• Overtime and weekends may be required.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Self-Motivated.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry standard cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of HACCP and allergens.
• Establish positive working relationships with Lyons’ management and senior support personnel.

Required Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience preferred within related fields

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in sanitation or cleaning role, preferably in manufacturing warehouse.
• Strong attention to detail is important for identifying areas needing cleaning and ensuring areas are in compliance.
• Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team and reporting sanitation issues.
