Job summary

Bridor USA is seeking a dependable Sanitation Technician to join our Vineland, NJ team. You will clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas to maintain a hygienic environment and ensure food-safety standards. The role includes housekeeping duties for the assigned line and shift.

This position supports compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety rules, with on-site work Friday–Sunday 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and every other Monday, plus twelve-hour shifts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sanitation and chemical-handling in a food-manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP concepts is preferred.
  • Ability to read safety data sheets (SDS) and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment as required.
  • Clean and sanitize tools, floors, work areas, and sanitation zones.
  • Use cleaning chemicals at correct concentrations and follow procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping for the assigned production line and shift.
  • Support training and mentoring of new employees.

Job Summary

Bridor USA is seeking a dependable and experienced Sanitation Technician to join our team in Vineland, New Jersey.

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools, and facility areas to maintain a safe and hygienic food-manufacturing environment. The Sanitation Technician will also perform housekeeping duties for the assigned production line and shift.

This role is essential to maintaining product quality, employee safety, and food-safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take apart, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment as required.
  • Clean and sanitize tools, equipment parts, floors, work areas, storage areas, warehouses, and sanitation zones.
  • Use the correct cleaning chemicals and sanitation methods for each area of the facility.
  • Prepare and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers at the correct concentrations.
  • Follow all established cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned production line and shift.
  • Maintain cleaning tools and sanitation equipment, including scrubbers and vacuum cleaners.
  • Operate motorized floor-cleaning equipment.
  • Help employees understand which chemicals and personal protective equipment are required during plant shutdowns and sanitation activities.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP requirements, food-safety procedures, and workplace safety rules.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new employees.
  • Complete other duties assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or Quality Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous sanitation and chemical-handling experience is required.
  • Previous sanitation experience in food manufacturing or production is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to report for all scheduled shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete cleaning assignments thoroughly.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safe chemical-handling practices.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP standards.
  • Familiarity with BRC or similar food-safety certification requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ability to read, write, and count in Spanish; English-language skills are a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Candidates Must Be Able To
  • Safely handle and use cleaning and sanitation chemicals.
  • Move and transport boxes or materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Climb and descend ladders and stairs.
  • Work in confined spaces when required.
  • Work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, and flour-exposed environments.
  • Work around wet or slippery surfaces.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Schedule and Availability Requirements
The Regular Schedule For This Position Is
  • Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Every other Monday from 6:0O a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Twelve-hour shifts

Candidates must be available to work the entire assigned schedule, including weekends and every other Monday.

Required

Employees must also be flexible when required plant sanitation cleanings, production shutdowns, or other operational needs result in temporary schedule changes. These changes may include:

  • Working on a different day
  • Reporting at a different start time
  • Working beyond the regular end time
  • Working additional hours

Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility are essential requirements of this position.

Working Conditions

This is an onsite position at Bridor USA's food-manufacturing facility located at 2260 Industrial Way, Vineland, NJ 08360.

Employees may be exposed to noise, hot and cold temperatures, flour, water, cleaning chemicals, confined spaces, and wet or slippery surfaces. All required personal protective equipment and safety procedures must be used at all times.

Hourly Rate: $24.21 per hour
