Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Sanitation Technician to join our 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) at our Vesper, WI facility. You will maintain a clean, food-safe production environment and support daily sanitation tasks to protect product quality and safety.

This role requires independent work, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, operate floor scrubbers and lifts, and follow HACCP and GMP guidelines. We value safety, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to grow within Kerry's Applied Health & Nutrition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs and work all three shifts when needed.
• Independence with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with cleaning schedules and sanitation processes.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMPs and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly sanitation tasks to maintain a clean facility.
• Operate floor scrubber, floor mobiliy equipment, and lifts as required.
• Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule and follow safety guidelines.
• Adhere to all regulatory and customer requirements and communicate issues.
• Work well with teammates and supervisors to ensure production readiness.

About the Role:

Our Vesper location is part of Kerry's Applied Health & Nutrition division and is a unique manufacturing site that produces proteins, lactose, coatings, and flavors used in products enjoyed by consumers around the world. As a Sanitation Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and food-safe production environment, helping ensure the quality and integrity of the products we manufacture every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee will be responsible for daily/ weekly sanitation tasks while also contributing to the general overall condition of the plant.

• Ability to operate the floor scrubber and maintain its cleanliness (daily maintenance checklist)
• Ability to operate the powered man-lift. (Rafter cleaning)
• Completion of daily /weekly cleaning list.
• Upkeep of Master Sanitation list (MSS)(MVP)
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Understand and comply with all HACCP, allergen, environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
• Have a good understanding of the general purpose, philosophy, and direction of Kerry as a whole and, specifically, the Jackson plant as it relates to employee policies and expectations, quality, customer satisfaction, GMPs, sanitation, and production requirements.
• Maintain awareness of customer and regulatory demands and focus.
• Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Problem solving ability and aptitude for learning and professional growth.
• High School Diploma
• Must be able to lift 50 – 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work all three shifts
• Have some knowledge of the use of tools and be mechanically inclined
• Must complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Complete and maintain the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule).
• Understand the use of chemicals.
• Must be able to operate a floor scrubber.
• Must be able to operate a scissors lift and a boom lift
• Must regard communications, teamwork, quality and safety as a high priority
• Must be able to understand / follow written and verbal communication and
• Perform any reasonable request from supervisors.
