Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sanitation Technician at our Mount Pleasant, Texas facility to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring our facility meets our strict cleaning requirements for the production equipment, food processing and production areas. You will work closely with all teams in the facility to ensure all FDA and internal sanitation requirements are met. The Sanitation Technician assists the FSQ supervisor to ensure the plant Sanitation and Housekeeping standards are maintained and proper paperwork completed.
Key Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
- Perform all duties in accordance with company SOPPs, SSOPs, cGMPs, and guidelines.
- Understand the standard operating procedures and inspection regulations for sanitation.
- Promote health and safety in the workplace. Participate in on-going training to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Be able to work in a wet and temperature variant environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Previous 2 - 3 years of sanitation supervisor experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Be able to work independently and willing to learn new methods and procedures.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
