Job Position: Sanitation Technician
Location: Marengo, IL 60152
Pay Rate: $17.00 to $19.00/hr BOE
Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Description: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across production, storage, and common areas to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. This role plays a key part in supporting product quality, employee safety, and adherence to regulatory standards through consistent execution of sanitation procedures and protocols.

Sanitation Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and surfaces in accordance with established schedules and SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness across production, storage, and common areas.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and follow all safety and handling guidelines.
- Properly handle and dispose of waste materials in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain sanitation logs and documentation of cleaning activities.
- Report maintenance, safety, or compliance issues promptly.
- Assist with deep cleaning and facility-wide sanitation projects.
- Support operational teams in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Sanitation Technician Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with prior sanitation, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling.
- Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Experience in regulated environments such as cannabis, food production, or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25–50 pounds.
