Call Your Mother is the Jew-ish deli on Pearl Street, known for delicious bagels and a fast-paced sanitation team. You’ll help keep production areas clean and safe, with opportunities to grow as 80% of leaders started in hourly roles.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, racks, floors, walls, drains, coolers, and other surfaces.
• Follow SSOPs, GMPs, HACCP programs and company safety standards.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers; verify sanitizer concentrations; complete sanitation logs and documentation.
• Identify and report equipment damage, pest activity, or potential food safety concerns.
• Help keep production areas clean, organized, and ready for safe food production.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR DAY

No two shifts are exactly alike, but you might:

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, racks, floors, walls, drains, coolers, and other food-contact and non-food-contact surfaces.
• Follow established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP programs, and company food safety standards.
• Safely prepare and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers according to established procedures, manufacturer instructions, and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
• Verify sanitizer concentrations using approved testing methods and follow required contact times.
• Remove food debris, waste, and recyclables from production and sanitation areas.
• Complete sanitation logs, cleaning checklists, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Properly store, label, and handle cleaning chemicals, sanitation supplies, and equipment.
• Identify and promptly report equipment damage, maintenance needs, pest activity, or potential food safety concerns.
• Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing sanitation tasks.
• Help keep production areas clean, organized, and ready for safe food production.
• Pitch in with additional cleaning and production support duties as needed.

YOU DON'T NEED BAGEL EXPERIENCE.

Variety is the spice of life and we hire folks with a crazy wide range of backgrounds! You’ll do well if you’ve worked in sanitation, custodial services, a warehouse, food production, manufacturing, or another hands-on environment but previous experience isn’t required. The right attitude and a strong baseline > a polished resume.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands for this position include seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, and communicating effectively; standing, walking, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive physical movements; lifting up to 50 pounds; and safely operating equipment and tools using manual dexterity. This role also requires working in a fast-paced environment around hot equipment, sharp tools, and varying temperatures, and occasionally working in confined spaces. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.

ASÍ SERÁ TU DÍA

No hay dos turnos exactamente iguales, pero podrías:

• Limpiar y desinfectar equipos de producción, estantes, pisos, paredes, desagües, cámaras de refrigeración y otras superficies que estén o no en contacto con alimentos.
• Seguir los Procedimientos Operativos Estándar de Saneamiento (SSOP), las Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura (GMP), los programas HACCP y los estándares de seguridad alimentaria de la empresa.
• Preparar y utilizar de manera segura los productos químicos de limpieza y desinfectantes de acuerdo con los procedimientos establecidos, las instrucciones del fabricante y las Hojas de Datos de Seguridad (SDS).
• Verificar las concentraciones de los desinfectantes utilizando métodos de prueba aprobados y cumplir con los tiempos de contacto requeridos.
• Retirar restos de alimentos, basura y materiales reciclables de las áreas de producción y saneamiento.
• Completar de manera precisa y puntual los registros de saneamiento, listas de verificación de limpieza y cualquier otra documentación requerida.
• Almacenar, etiquetar y manipular correctamente los productos químicos de limpieza, suministros de saneamiento y equipos.
• Identificar y reportar de inmediato cualquier daño en los equipos, necesidades de mantenimiento, actividad de plagas o posibles problemas relacionados con la seguridad alimentaria.
• Seguir los procedimientos de seguridad de la empresa y utilizar el equipo de protección personal (PPE) requerido al realizar tareas de saneamiento.
• Ayudar a mantener las áreas de producción limpias, organizadas y listas para una producción segura de alimentos.
• Apoyar con tareas adicionales de limpieza y producción según sea necesario.

NO NECESITAS EXPERIENCIA HACIENDO BAGELS.

REQUISITOS FÍSICOS
