Job summary

Rite Stuff Foods Inc in Idaho is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the sanitation team, ensure GMP compliance, and maintain sanitation programs across the facility. The role requires supervision of hourly staff, training, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Candidate should have a High School diploma or GED with 5+ years in food-industry sanitation, bilingual English/Spanish, and ability to work 3rd shift including Sundays. The position is in-person with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of food industry sanitation experience.
• Experience with chemicals, pest control and sanitation equipment including CIP/COP.
• Proficient in MS Office/Excel; basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required; 3rd shift including Sundays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct sanitation team; train and coach hourly staff.

Job description

This position is responsible for the planning, instructing, and directing overall cleaning and sanitation of the Rite Stuff Foods location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Sanitation team of hourly employees, includes training, assigning work and employee development and coaching.
• Manage and follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain and improve the cleaning of the facility and the production equipment.
• Maintain and improve sanitation program in order to comply with Federal and State inspections, including maintaining the proper paperwork required by state and federal sanitation regulations.
• Follow, maintain and update SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) in order to comply with OSHA regulations.
• Drive the Rite Stuff Foods continuous improvement process for the Sanitation team to improve efficiency and develop corrective actions.
• Manage chemicals, pest control and sanitation of equipment for facility.
• Maintain sanitation supply inventory.
• Provide back-up support as needed to Production Supervisors.
• Perform ATP testing.
• Monitor the proper functioning of the CIP process.
• Keep all equipment used for cleaning in optimal working order.
• Keep records and document tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Detects potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.

Knowledge and Education

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of 5 years of food industry experience, with an emphasis in sanitation.
• Experience working with chemicals, pest control and sanitation equipment preferred. Including knowledge of clean in place (CIP) and clean out of place (COP) equipment, manual foamers, basic hand tools, operation of production equipment, basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment knowledge.
• Intermediate computer skills required with MS Office/Excel experience a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• 3rd shift work required including Sunday work. Hours of work may vary depending on business need.
