Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a hands-on sanitation supervisor to ensure compliance with GMPs and HACCP. You will supervise sanitation crews, implement COP/CIP/SIP schedules, and drive environmental monitoring and pest control programs.

The role requires a science background, leadership experience, and strong communication. You will partner with production and quality teams to safeguard product safety and sanitation standards across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-based area (ex: Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy Science) preferred, or a minimum of 2 years high level plant-based laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
• Supervises and instructs production team members in sanitary and pest-control procedures.
• Implement and revise all plant master sanitation schedules in accordance with State, Federal Regulations and Company policies.
• Monitor HACCP as outlined in the IDFA product safety system and ensure that sanitation activities regarding HACCP are performed and documented consistently.
• Develops reports regarding regular plant and equipment inspections, areas of concern, and corrective action plans.
