Job summary

Keefe Group is hiring for an on-site packaging/maintenance role. You will manage production rooms, equipment, and grounds while reporting to the Director of Packaging. The position requires reliability, basic math, sanitation knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Forklift experience preferred; training provided. We offer weekly pay, overtime opportunities, holiday pay, and a full benefits package including health, 401(k) with match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and paid training.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Lift/pull/carry loads up to 70 pounds.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Forklift experience preferred but not necessary.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production rooms, equipment, warehouse and building grounds.
• Work onsite and report to the Director of Packaging.
• Ensure reliable attendance and follow schedule.
• Maximize quality production with minimal downtime and waste.
• Follow GMPs and company policies; address food safety/quality issues.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and test kits; maintain sanitation.
• Operate a forklift after certification; inspect scrubber, scissor-lift and forklift.
• Clean plant, warehouse, production rooms and grounds per schedule.
• Manage disposable inventories and coordinate with Supervisor.
• Assist with changeovers, inbound stock, events, and general setup/cleanup.
