Mars Petcare is hiring a Sanitation Sr. Operator in Columbus, OH. This role coordinates overall sanitation, handles waste streams, and collaborates with contractors and service vendors in cleaning chemical usage and sanitation of the facility.

Shifts are 3rd with 6pm–6am hours (12-hour shift). Requires HS diploma/GED and 1+ year sanitation experience; MS Office and email proficiency preferred. Benefits start day one, including medical coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Job Description:

Mars Petcare- Sanitation Sr. Operator- Columbus, OH

• Pay: $30.33/hour and $1.50/hour shift premium

Shift Schedule:

Shift: 3rd shift

Schedule: 2.2.3

Hours: 6pm-6am (12 hour shift)

Description of Role:

To coordinate the overall sanitation of the facility and the handling of all waste streams. This includes dealing with Contractors and outside service vendors in the areas of scrap, cleaning chemical usage and overall facility sanitation.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
• 1+ years experience in a manufacturing sanitation or industrial sanitation related role
• Proficient in MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certification
• Understanding of the clean in place (CIP) process
• Forklift experience
• Experience with sanitation equipment (scrubbers, pressure washers, etc)

Physical Requirements:

• Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
