Mars Petcare in Columbus, OH is seeking a Sanitation Sr. Operator on a 12-hour night shift to coordinate sanitation and waste handling across the facility. The role involves working with contractors and outside service vendors to ensure clean, safe operations.

The position offers starting pay of $30.33/hour plus $1.50/hour shift premium, with annual bonus and benefits from day one, including medical, vision, dental, a 401(k) match, vacation, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 1+ years experience in a manufacturing sanitation or industrial sanitation related role.
• Proficient in MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the waste treatment facility and perform equipment teardown, rebuilds, titrations, troubleshooting.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CIP systems; support area cleaning, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor operations to ensure specifications are met and documented.
• Disassemble, reassemble, sanitize, and inspect production equipment.
• Assist in planning and coordinating plant shutdown activities.
• Follow up on unplanned work orders.
• Train and mentor Maintenance Services associates.
• Manage interactions with outside vendors.
• Identify and implement cost-saving improvements.
• Manage waste treatment plant, schedule scrap/waste removal, and replenish cleaning chemicals.
• Ad hoc requests.
