Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking Sanitation Operators for a full-time role at our Blue Ash Bakery Fresh Innovation Center. You will ensure equipment is clean, sanitized and ready for production of donuts and baked goods.

Responsibilities include following sanitation schedules, operating safely, handling chemicals with PPE, and adhering to SQF and GMP standards. The role requires physical stamina and flexibility to work weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks in sanitation schedule per QA/sanitation supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injuries.
• Use, store, measure chemicals with PPE.
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Assess area after cleaning to ensure sanitation is complete.
• Inspect others’ work for completeness.
• Participate in chemical training program.
• Scrape, wash, and sanitize mixers, ovens, sheeter line, coolers, production lines, trays, wire baskets, racks, floor equipment, drains and trash disposal.
• Follow SQF and GMP requirements.
• Work as a member of a team.
• Stand, bend, kneel, reach, climb ladders, and lift 50+ pounds.
• Work a rotational schedule including weekends and most holidays.
• Operate battery powered floor scrubbers.
• Be able to work in wet conditions.
• Adhere to SSOP.
• Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, SQF.
• Work with limited supervision is required.
• Proven ability to work independently while performing sanitation and production tasks

Sanitation Operators are responsible for disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and re-assembling all manufacturing, storage, and delivery equipment used on the facility daily.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Complete tasks outlined in the master, daily and weekly sanitation schedule or as directly assigned by the QA/ sanitation supervisor and or lead.
• Perform all duties following company safety procedures and guidelines with focus on zero injuries.
• Utilize, store away and measure all chemicals while utilizing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures (LOTO).
• Must be able to assess area after cleaning to ensure sanitation is complete
• Inspect each other’s work to make sure work is complete.
• Must be able to partake in and complete the chemical training program.

• Familiarity with GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety and sanitation (i.e. HACCP, AIB, SQF)
• Ability to work with limited supervision is required.
• Proven ability to work independently while performing a variety of sanitation and production tasks
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check & pre-employment drug screen
• Previous experience in a Bakery or Food Manufacturing (Preferred) but not required.
• Read, write and communicate in English.
• Punctual and willing to work overtime when needed.
