This role will be involved in all aspects of sanitation and food safety, including but not limited to audits, HACCP program execution, sanitation, and working with operations personnel on sanitation issues. Work with production to coordinate and track food safety/plant initiatives.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).• Clean and maintain all walls, ceilings, floors, pipes, and miscellaneous fixtures as required.• Assist in the cleaning of all processing equipment.• Help with the Pest Control program by alerting Pest Control Service of any sightings. • Assist in GMP / Sanitation Audits.• Learn the usage and application of different cleaning compounds and sanitizers utilized at the plant to ensure chemical management program is in compliance.• Participate in training related to Sanitation and Food Safety.• Solid working knowledge of operations and corresponding systems.• Assist in the maintenance of sanitation requirements and related training.• Perform wastewater sampling and analysis as directed by Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor.• Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts.• Perform other duties as assigned.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:• An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
