Job summary

Ecowize is seeking a Sanitation Site Manager to lead a sanitation team at a food manufacturing facility. You will ensure all areas and equipment are clean, sanitized, and production-ready daily, while driving safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will manage people, processes, systems, and relationships to deliver compliant sanitation operations. You will work with Area Manager and customer leadership to build accountability, continuous improvement, and strong partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience within food manufacturing, sanitation or food production operations.
• Experience leading sanitation teams in USDA and/or FDA regulated facilities.
• Strong knowledge of: SSOPs, GMPs, Allergen Controls
• USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI Standards (SQF/BRCGS)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred or required based on customer needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital business systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead People: Build and develop a high-performing sanitation team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard sanitation team members; conduct orientation and training.
• Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing employee development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions.
• Manage attendance, scheduling, labor utilization, and overtime; foster an engaged team culture.
• Develop future supervisors and site leaders through succession planning.
