Job summary

Snack Innovations in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation operations across shifts, ensure cleaning and verification standards, and keep the facility audit-ready for production start-up.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will build a high-performing sanitation team, own the master sanitation schedule, maintain records, and partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to drive GMP, HACCP, and SQF compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing.
• At least two years leading sanitation teams.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP-based programs.
• Experience with sanitation chemicals, chemical concentration control, cleaning equipment, and verification methods.
• Working knowledge of BRCGS, SQF, or another GFSI-recognized food safety standard preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead overnight or off-shift teams in a fast-pace production environment.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, training, and documentation skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive sanitation program leadership and master sanitation schedule.
• Own SSOPs and daily sanitation plans.
• Ensure cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities to established standards.
• Coordinate sanitation timing with Production and Maintenance for safe changeovers.
• Maintain sanitation records, chemical logs, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Quality and Food Safety to verify sanitation effectiveness and audits readiness.
• Lead sanitation team across shifts and develop staff.
• Manage sanitation chemicals, equipment, inventories, and safety requirements.
