Food Sanitation Maintenance Associate
Food Sanitation Maintenance Associates keep our food production departments clean and running at the highest level. They are independent workers with a strong attention to detail, which helps them fulfill their responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of cleaning functions in the Bakery, Deli, Seafood, Meat, Salad Bar, and Produce Departments.
- Main duties include heavy-duty cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, coolers, drains, equipment, and cases (after product removal) in all perishable departments.
- Operate commercial power equipment such as floor scrubbers, steamers, power washers, buffers, trash compactors, etc.
- Carry out daily cleaning as well as weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual deep-cleaning requirements.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to learn and use cleaning chemicals, including understanding basic information like chemical names and product labels.
- Ability to navigate and move ladders frequently over extended periods.
- Ability to work independently.
- Read basic information such as chemical names and product labels.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
- Prompt and regular attendance based on your schedule.
- Adherence to our dress code, appearance, and personal hygiene standards.
- Associates in food handling departments are required to receive a Hepatitis A vaccination (MO only).
- Lifting & Carrying - Up to 35 lbs.
- Pushing & Pulling - Up to 50 lbs. of force.
- Occasional activities include sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, overhead reaching, and power gripping.
- Frequent activities include standing, walking, head turning, trunk bending, stooping, squatting, handling, side reaching, grasping, pinching, finger manipulation, and feeling.
- Constant activity involves forward reaching.
- Must be mobile throughout the store and able to stand for 8 hours.
- Able to climb ladders and move ladders frequently over extended periods.
