Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Sanitation Manager to lead the site sanitation program, ensure food safety compliance, environmental monitoring, and readiness for production. You will own sanitation performance and drive continuous improvement.

You will train and lead the sanitation team, manage the budget, support production start‑up, and collaborate with FSQA on safety and sanitation excellence. This role is on site at our Indianapolis facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proficiency in CIP and COP cleaning systems.
• Strong HACCP, GMP, WHMIS/GHS, First Aid, and LOTO familiarity.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and applicable requisites.

Responsabilités

• Lead and execute the site sanitation program to ensure safety, compliance, and production readiness.
• Train and lead sanitation team on cleaning of equipment, utensils, and the plant environment.
• Own the sanitation department budget and drive cost‑effective solutions.
• Support on‑time production start‑up and minimize downtime.
• Oversee environmental monitoring and corrective actions.
• Perform corporate sanitation audits and support local plant audits.
• Maintain SSOPs and adhere to corporate sanitation standards.
• Manage chemicals and sanitizing agents with safe storage and ordering.
• Uphold GMPs and OSHA compliance and promote safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement through time studies and on‑the-floor leadership.
• Collaborate with FSQA on sanitation excellence across the organization.
