Job summary

Little Leaf Farms in McAdoo, PA is seeking a Sanitation Lead to coordinate and assist the Sanitation Technicians in cleaning and sanitizing greenhouse and packaging equipment, following GMPs and safety guidelines. You will train staff, perform daily chemical verifications, manage inventory, maintain records, and prepare for audits, ensuring production areas stay compliant and sanitary.

This role requires a one-year certificate and experience leading a sanitation team; bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Prior Industrial Sanitation experience and/or experience in regulated industries is highly desired; at least 1 year leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist in the cleaning processes of the greenhouse and packaging areas.
• Perform daily inspections and chemical verifications to verify proper cleaning techniques and adherence to SSOPs.
• Measure, weigh, and mix industrial cleaners and chemicals using measuring tanks and calibration devices.
• Monitor chemical usage; maintain records to track inventory and sanitation supplies; report needs to FSQA Manager.
• Complete daily and periodic sanitation reports and prepare for audits.
• Operate sanitation equipment and assist in other production cleaning tasks as required.
• Demonstrate CIP and COP procedures and train new hires and transfers.
• Schedule daily staffing to meet sanitation hours and manage timecards.
• Inspect, swab, and validate allergen controls; assist in SSOP development and validation.
• Coordinate sanitation activities with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure sanitary production areas.
