Job summary

  • Train and direct employees to conform to safety and quality procedures (MSD, chemicals handling).
  • Plan work schedules to meet production goals; inspect equipment; coordinate inter-department activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Directly and indirectly manage all aspects of employment life cycle for department staffing to include but not be limited to: Interviewing, Selection, Training, Time management, Scheduling, directing work, Promotions/Status changes, Disciplining, Terminations, Performance management, Monitoring and implementing legal compliance measures.
  • Direct sanitation efforts for regular cleaning and wash downs of production rooms and equipment
  • Will oversee porters too keep building, grounds, plant, and offices clean and orderly.
  • Train and direct all employees in the department to conform to CSC safety and quality procedures.
  • Monitor, direct and coordinate all activities within and between departments to conform to standards.
  • Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.
  • Inspect all mixers when cleaning is complete.
  • Train the Department Lead to completely run operation during an absence.
  • Fill in for department employees as needed for absences.
  • Ensure all electric vehicles are charged for next day use.
  • Inspect and ensure the facility is clean and ready for next day's schedule.
  • Keep updated and stay informed of all chemicals and detergents and all MSD for each.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequirements:
  • High school Diploma or G.E.D. Required. Associate degree Preferred.
  • 3+ years mixing room experience, highly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a lead or supervisor required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to successfully lead a team.
  • Experience training others
  • Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs. repeatedly during shift.
  • Work in an environment that is dusty and may contain spices with high heat.
  • Ability to work in an environment with recurrent exposure to chemicals and industrial cleaning products.
  • Ability to operate compactor machines.Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Able to work 40+ hours per week on feet in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Regular stooping, kneeling, climbing, bending at the waist, reaching and handling.
  • Walk long distances repeatedly and climb stairs or ladders.
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures
  • Must have availability to work weekends and overtime as needed
