Job summary

Chesapeake Spice Co Llc is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Supervisor to lead daily cleaning, sanitation of production areas, and readiness for the next shift.

You will manage staffing life cycle, supervise porters, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across the facility. This role requires physical work, forklift operation, and weekend/overtime availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of mixing room experience or related production supervision.
• Experience leading a team and managing scheduling and performance.

Responsibilities

• Direct sanitation and cleaning for production areas and equipment.
• Oversee staff in sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance tasks.
• Train staff to follow safety and quality procedures.
• Plan work schedules to meet production goals and staffing needs.
• Inspect cleaning of mixers and facility and ensure readiness for next shift.
• Operate and maintain forklift and other equipment as needed.
• Ensure chemicals and MSD safety data sheets are up to date.
• Oversee weekend and overtime coverage as required.

Job Summary:Will direct and coordinate Sanitation schedules and cleaning requirements to ensure facility is ready for next day’s schedule. Will manage daily upkeep of building and grounds.Responsibilities:Directly and indirectly manage all aspects of employment life cycle for department staffing to include but not be limited to: Interviewing, Selection, Training, Time management, Scheduling, directing work, Promotions/Status changes, Disciplining, Terminations, Performance management, Monitoring and implementing legal compliance measures.Direct sanitation efforts for regular cleaning and wash downs of production rooms and equipmentWill oversee porters too keep building, grounds, plant, and offices clean and orderly.Train and direct all employees in the department to conform to CSC safety and quality procedures.Monitor, direct and coordinate all activities within and between departments to conform to standards.Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.Inspect all mixers when cleaning is complete.Train the Department Lead to completely run operation during an absence.Fill in for department employees as needed for absences.Ensure all electric vehicles are charged for next day use.Inspect and ensure the facility is clean and ready for next day’s schedule.Keep updated and stay informed of all chemicals and detergents and all MSD for each.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:High school Diploma or G.E.D. Required. Associate degree Preferred.3+ years mixing room experience, highly preferred.Previous experience as a lead or supervisor required.Ability to communicate effectively with others.Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.Ability to successfully lead a team.Experience training othersAbility to lift 50 to 100 lbs. repeatedly during shift.Work in an environment that is dusty and may contain spices with high heat.Ability to work in an environment with recurrent exposure to chemicals and industrial cleaning products.Ability to operate compactor machines.Ability to operate a forklift.Able to work 40+ hours per week on feet in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.Regular stooping, kneeling, climbing, bending at the waist, reaching and handling.Walk long distances repeatedly and climb stairs or ladders.Must be able to read and write EnglishAbility to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to work in cold and hot temperaturesMust have availability to work weekends and overtime as needed
