Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a sanitation supervisor to oversee the campus cleaning program across office, production, and grounds at our Smyrna facility. You will manage budgets for chemicals and sanitizers, support weekend leadership, and ensure GMP/SQF readiness.

Responsibilities include leading sanitation teams, training staff on SSOPs and safety, maintaining records, and coordinating with production to address sanitation issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QA or sanitation role in a food manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory or team leader experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation, chemical safety, FDA, GMP, and HACCP.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the sanitation team to ensure production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized properly and on schedule.
• Train team members on sanitation procedures, SSOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.
• Monitor employee performance and attendance, providing coaching and feedback when needed.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals and supplies are handled, stored, and used safely.
• Inspect sanitation activities and identify areas that need improvement or corrective action.
• Work closely with production and other departments to quickly address sanitation concerns.
• Support GFSI/SQF audits and help complete corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain accurate sanitation records, inspection reports, KPIs, and required audit documentation.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location Type: Onsite

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining of the entire campus and facility such has the office area, production floor, and outside grounds to ensure the plant is kept clean. Additionally, this position supports plantwide leadership support over the weekends and will maintain their own budget, including purchasing of chemicals, sanitation and operations supplies.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM, with occasional Saturdays. Start and end times may vary based on business needs.
