Finlays Solutions in Cranston, RI is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the sanitation team and ensure HACCP-compliant practices across the plant. This role reports to the Quality Supervisor and focuses on maintaining food safety, documentation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in sanitation or custodial roles, familiarity with SSOPs and GMP, and strong teamwork.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of supervisor or team leader experience preferred.
• Sanitation experience in production/food safety preferred.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certified or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and motivate the sanitation team, plan priorities, schedule work, and communicate with staff and stakeholders.
• Train sanitation staff on HSE policies, GMP and SSOPs, promoting a safe work environment.
• Oversee cleaning and sanitization of equipment and plant areas, providing direction and technical support.
• Assist Quality Supervisor with audits and reporting non-compliance to ensure QA and food safety compliance.
• Review and approve sanitation documentation; update SSOPs and participate in audits.
• Assist with inventory management and safe storage of sanitation supplies.

DESCRIPTION:

This role is focused on helping meet and establish food safety/ sanitation protocols and policy requirements throughout facility. To help develop and keep accurate records and documentation with HACCP programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Team Leadership: Assist with managing, motivating, coaching, and leading the sanitation team. Assist with planning sanitation requirements and activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, assigning work and communicating with sanitation staff and key stakeholders frequently and regularly within timelines.
• Training and Development: Assist with training sanitation employees on HSE policies, GMP and SSOPs. Ensuring a safe work environment through safety awareness, practice, and promotion
• Sanitation Supervision: Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, utensils, and plant environment by providing direction, working 'hands on' to motivate and provide technical support to all sanitation employees and other plant employees as required
• Compliance: Assist the Quality Supervisor with auditing and reporting non-compliance and take correct actions to ensure compliance with all quality assurance and food safety requirements on a regular and daily basis.
• Documentation: Review and approve daily sanitation related documentation, assist with monitoring and updating Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and actively participate in audits, and perform sanitation effectiveness verifications as required by internal policies
• Inventory Management: Assist with ordering, managing inventory and safe storage of sanitation and cleaning substances

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree or technical certification a plus.
• Supervisory Experience:5 years of supervisor or team leader experience preferred.
• Sanitation Experience: Previous knowledge of custodial or sanitation practices and production food safety procedures preferred
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanically inclined, familiarity with production and warehouse equipment a plus
• Forklift:Forklift certified or willingness to obtain
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Working Setting: The role is primarily based in a warehouse and food production environment with wet, hot and humid conditions
• Team Collaboration: Frequent interaction with team members and other departments, requiring effective communication and collaboration.
• Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with some loud noises
• Mobility: Required to walk, stand, bend and reach for duration of shift
• Lifting: Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
