DESCRIPTION:

This role is responsible for following the Master Cleaning Schedule, performing routine cleaning of the building. This position keeps up with necessary documentation and maintains control over cleaning supply inventory. They are expected to ensure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlays Solutions mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sanitation Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning of the building as outlined in the Master Cleaning Schedule and sanitize raw ingredient storage containers. Will use a Floor Scrubber Machine.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation paperwork, and assist with the Pallet Cleaning Program
• Inventory: Maintain inventory control of all sanitizing chemicals
• Food Safety: Follow all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and Food Safety Practices, and properly use PPE
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to address and resolve cross-functional issues impacting production.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience: Basic understanding of a food production environment and related janitorial services preferred
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English, team player and able to follow safety policies
• Skills: Positive attitude, ability to work independently, safety and quality conscious
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours or longer shifts when needed. Ability to travel to Lincoln facility for occasional coverage/training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Production Setting: The role is primarily based in a production setting with wet, hot, and humid conditions
• Team Collaboration: Frequent interaction with team members and other departments, requiring effective communication and collaboration.
• Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with some loud noises
• Mobility: Required to stand, walk, climb, bend and stretch for entire shift
• Lifting: Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs regularly
