Job summary

Perdue Farms in Perry, Georgia is seeking a Sanitation Laborer to keep our facility clean, safe, and production-ready. You will work with cleaning tools and chemicals to meet USDA and Perdue QA standards, contributing to a sanitary work environment.

The role operates on the 3rd shift, involves equipment disassembly/reassembly for cleaning, and requires following Lock out/Tag out procedures with proper PPE. This is an essential frontline position at our Cook facility.

Qualifications

6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.
High School or equivalent beneficial but not required.
Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Disassemble equipment as necessary to properly clean.
Use water, chemicals and scrub pads to clean equipment to a level acceptable to USDA and Perdue QA.
Must be able to help wipe down condensation in your area after completing your cleaning process.
Must be trained and able to use Lock out / Tag out procedures.
Wear all necessary safety equipment such as steel-toed boots, bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, rain suits and ear plugs.
Must be able to help assemble some equipment in certain areas for production startup.
Follow all reasonable requests by supervisor.
Other Duties as assigned by supervisor, including working with other departments as needed.
