Job summary

Rich Products Corporation, a family-owned food company, seeks a Sanitation Group Leader to monitor production quality and safety in the Brunswick facility. You will coordinate procedures, ensure GMP compliance, and work with teams to improve manufacturing methods.

The role requires a HS diploma and 3 years in food/pharma manufacturing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work in freezers and noisy environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and application of qualifications in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing.
  • Understanding FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, allergens, and pest control.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Mechanical and spatial aptitude; able to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in noisy or cold environments.

  • Coordinate plant procedures and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, quality production.
  • Follow and document plant procedures with associates and suppliers.
  • Monitor control programs and perform periodic checks for compliance.
  • Familiarize with area procedures to ensure proper adherence.
  • Maintain knowledge of responsibilities and assist management in problem resolution.
  • Report operational information to management.
  • Ensure GMP and safety standards are followed.
  • Participate in GMP inspections and address deficiencies with teams.
  • Perform related duties to support business objectives.

Purpose Statement

The Sanitation Group Leader is responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper throughout the facility. The Group Leader will also recommend improvements in manufacturing methods and practices to management.

  • Coordinates plant procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure safe and quality production and limit down time. Ensures compliance with all standard operating procedures.
  • Follows and documents plant procedures in cooperation with plant associates and suppliers.
  • Monitors control programs and conducts periodic checks to ensure compliance.
  • Monitors plant and becomes familiar with procedures to determine whether proper procedures are being followed.
  • Maintains knowledge of area of responsibility and its programs and procedures and readily assists management in problem resolution.
  • Maintains and reports required operational information to management.
  • Ensures that all GMP and Safety standards are in compliance.
  • Participates in GMP and inspections throughout the various departments and corrects, or issues work orders to correct, any identified deficiencies. Follows up with the appropriate Associates to ensure expeditious performance of the requested work.
  • Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Rich Products Corporation's business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • HS degree or GED
  • 3 years of experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of qualifications in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food allergens and pest control
  • Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment
  • Will be required to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing as part of production activities out on the floor.
  • Will be required to see and hear well enough to understand associates questions and respond to their concerns.
  • Will be required to work in freezers, near noisy machinery, near confined spaces as part of daily production activities.
