Job summary

Rich Products Corporation in Lodi, CA is hiring a Sanitation Associate for Shift 3. You will disassemble and set up production equipment, perform CIP/SIP cleaning, monitor chemical concentrations, and maintain sanitation logs.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the willingness to train others in environmental operations. You must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in manufacturing, with sanitation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of manufacturing/industrial experience required.
• Six months sanitation experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train other associates in sanitation and environmental operations.
• Must be able to work as part of a self-directed team.
• Familiarity with Rich’s SCADA and/or Kleanz systems; awareness of GMP and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and sets up production equipment; cleans with CIP systems.
• Maintains CIP charts and logs; monitors chemical concentrations.
• Performs routine sanitation tasks and basic troubleshooting of sanitation equipment.
• Trains new associates on required sanitation skills and safety procedures.
• Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes required paperwork.
• Maintains a safe, clean work area following GMP and safety guidelines.
• Potentially trains in other plant areas as part of the learning program.

Purpose Statement

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for controlling all environmental and in-depth equipment cleaning to ensure the safety and quality of our food products.

• Disassembles and sets up all production equipment, cleans all equipment using COP and CIP systems, verifies the proper cleaning and set-up of all equipment, puts away production and sanitation materials, drives material handling equipment, monitors/tests chemical concentration of all CIP systems.
• Maintains CIP Chart Recorders. Documents necessary information on charts and CIP logs.
• Takes inventory of sanitation supplies. Uses bioluminescence technology to verify CIP systems.
• Responsible for performing tasks according to the plant Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Responsible for basic troubleshooting of all Sanitation equipment.
• Trains new Associates on required skill sets for Environmental Operations.
• Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines.
• Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork.
• Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Lead person.
• Will be required to train in other areas of the plant as required by the learning program, which may include Valve and Pump PM program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• One-year work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Six-month workexperience in Sanitation or Sanitation Teams preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have the ability to train other Associates in Sanitation/Environmental operations
• Must have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team
• Must be proficient on Rich’s SCADA and/or Kleanz system
• Has an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines
• Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines
• Understands proper machine operating and adjusting procedures
• Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned
