Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC seeks a Sanitation Associate to maintain a clean, safe environment within Food and Nutrition Services. You will perform sanitation duties, including cleaning, mopping, dishwashing, pot washing, and more to support reliable operations for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils, ensure items are stored properly, and manage waste and recycling. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of dishwasher or porter experience in a restaurant, hospital, school, or similar setting.
• Experience cleaning kitchen appliances, equipment, and utensils.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation duties, including cleaning, mopping, dishwashing, pot washing, and other related responsibilities throughout Food and Nutrition Services.
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are operational and available at your workstation.
• Clean, sanitize, and store pots, pans, dishes, and silverware.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including kettles, ovens, mixers, and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and clean assigned areas.
• Maintain an adequate supply of dishes and utensils throughout the Main Kitchen and Retail areas.
• Collect and dispose of garbage, trash, and recycling.
