Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a dedicated hospital environmental services worker responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all Food Service areas. Duties include dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, and equipment cleaning. May assist in service and storage of food.

Responsibilities also cover following safety procedures, adhering to infection control policies, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment daily to support patient care and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: Equivalent of six months full-time cleaning experience in hospitals, commercial or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with standard cleaning practices and infection control.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors in the Kitchen, storerooms, walk-in refrigerators and related areas.
• Cleans dining rooms and serving areas and maintains a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
• Reports needed maintenance or repairs of equipment used.
• Follows established cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures.
• Complies with federal, state and local health/sanitation regulations.
