Job summary

Holly Poultry in Hanover, MD is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment in a food manufacturing facility. You will perform daily cleaning and follow strict sanitation procedures to support food safety and quality.

You will disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and complete logs while collaborating with production teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMPs.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Support production teams to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.

Sanitation Associate

The Sanitation Associate role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant production environment in a food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows strict sanitation procedures, and is committed to food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and facilities
• Follow all USDA, FDA, and company sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
• Use and handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with guidelines
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMPs
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues
• Support production teams to ensure a clean and efficient work environment
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation or food manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
