Job summary

Vital Farms is hiring a Sanitation Associate for its Egg Central Station facility. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining GMP-compliant operations across a 12-hour shift schedule (2-2-3 cycle). Day shift runs 7am–7pm; night shift 7pm–7am, with a $20.25 hourly rate plus a $3 night differential.

We offer holiday pay, health care from the first month, a 401(k) with 3% company contribution, paid time off, and free eggs. Strong attention to detail and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sanitation or manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and quality reasons.
• Able to frequently lift and / or move up to 60 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch for extended periods of time.
• Good math and computer skills.
• Able to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Vital Farms policies, GMPs, and safety requirements.
• Clean and sanitize facility, materials and processing equipment.
• Operate sanitation equipment and handle chemicals safely.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and stock footbaths and hand-washing stations.
• Clean egg washer water changes and CIP circuits; assist in equipment cleaning.
• Titrate chemicals and manage chemical dispensers and CIP circuits.
• Maintain Egg Press waste handling per SOP.
• Audit equipment and arrange replacements as needed.
• Operate lab equipment and perform timely testing.
