Job summary

Schwan's is seeking a sanitation associate for a full-time role in a food manufacturing environment in Oklahoma. The position offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential for hours between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., on the 2nd shift. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health plans, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0-1 year of related experience.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and safety standards (OSHA, GMPs).
• Ability to follow sanitation policies and procedures.
• Willingness to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts.
• Comfortable in hot/cold and wet/dry areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses to sanitize equipment per procedures.
• Operate COP tank cleaning equipment for disassembled equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning.
• Use and document chemical concentrations appropriately.
• Verify chemicals and cleaning to pass micro indicator tests.

What You Will Do:

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
• Operating COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0--1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
• Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.
