Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Oklahoma seeks a full-time sanitation associate for the 2nd shift (6p-6a). You will operate high-pressure hoses to sanitize equipment and facilities, document chemical use, and ensure regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 0–1 year in sanitation, and the ability to work in hot/cold, wet/dry environments. OT and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0–1 year of related experience in sanitation.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and safety standards (OSHA, GMPs).
• Ability to follow sanitation policies and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses to clean equipment and facilities.
• Clean disassembled equipment with COP tank cleaning equipment as directed.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment per instructions.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning.
• Use chemicals at stated concentrations and document usage.
• Verify chemicals and cleaning to pass micro indicator tests.

What You Will Do:

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
• Operating COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0--1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
• Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.
