Job summary

Vine Line Produce in Michigan is seeking a sanitation associate to support our Midwest operations. You will perform sanitation duties in warehouse and office spaces, maintain logs, and ensure cleanliness to meet food safety standards.

We offer a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm schedule with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, health benefits, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match. Prior experience in sanitation and working with cleaning chemicals is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in sanitation or cleaning in industrial settings.
• Read, speak, and write English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation duties in warehouse and office spaces.
• Clean and sanitize, wipe down areas and collect waste.
• Follow chemical safety procedures and log records.
• Operate sanitation equipment and maintain records with Provision Analytics.
• Report safety hazards to management.
• Maintain logs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Essential Functions:

• Perform sanitation duties for the warehouse and office spaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
• Remove all visible soil by wiping/brushing down designated areas
• Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials properly
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
• Check and notify management of pest issues
• Assist in chemical supply inventory
• Notify any safety hazards or maintenance issues to Management
• Complete and maintain required cleaning logs and records accurately and promptly
• Perform work in accordance with established SSOP’s(Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
• Perform sanitation duties with utilization of equipment. such as Bailer Machine, Sky Jack, Forklift, Walkie Ryder, and electric pallet jacks. Previous experience is a plus
• Keep record documents up to date – Daily, Weekly, Monthly, using Provision Analytics Software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and attention-to-detail approach

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 – 2 years of experience in sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning roles within industrial, manufacturing, or food processing settings
• Experience with working in different temperature settings (Freezer, Refrigerated, Ambient)
• Familiar with Food Safety procedures
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily; bilingual a plus

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (8:00am – 4:00pm)

Compensation:

• $20.00/hour

Physical Demands:

• Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for short periods of time
• Frequently carry, push/pull and lift up objects up to 50lbs
• Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
• Repetitive motions may be required, including scrubbing, climbing, or reaching above shoulders
• Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
