Job summary

Aapstaff is hiring for sanitation department positions in Franklin Park, IL. Shifts run 1st 6:00am–2:30pm, 2nd 3:00pm–11:30pm, and 3rd 10:00pm–6:30am. Starting pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

The role focuses on keeping equipment and the building clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties. Responsibilities include following food safety and personal safety processes, inspecting and cleaning equipment, performing both basic and heavy sanitation tasks, and documenting completion of cleaning

Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety processes and personal safety processes
• Check equipment to ensure health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning as necessary
• Perform basic to heavy cleaning of food equipment, walls, floors, and other periodic cleaning
• Follow procedures for dismantling, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment
• Complete required sanitation verifications and maintain a basic understanding of sanitation chemicals
• Fill out proper documentation for verification that cleaning has been completed
• Assist in training of new personnel and fill in for absent employees
• Maintain areas of responsibility clean and organized
• Communicate issues to Supervisor/Lead
• Report safety concerns and hazards to Supervisor/Lead
• Report accidents and injuries promptly
• Inform line Lead or Supervisor when you must leave line
• Report any issues to supervisor
• Support quality control programs to ensure procedures comply with food safety and quality standards

• Perform basic to heavy cleaning of food equipment, walls, floors, and other periodic cleaning
• Follow procedures for the dismantling, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment
• Complete any required sanitation verifications, maintain a minimum of a basic understanding of sanitation chemicals
• Responsible for filling out the proper documentation for verification that the cleaning has been completed
• Assist in training of new personnel as well as filling in for absent employees
• Maintain areas of responsibility clean and organized
• Communicate any issue or concerns to Supervisor/ Lead
• Report all safety concerns and/or potential hazards to Supervisor/ Lead Team
