US Foods is seeking a Night Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness of our division building and surrounding property. The role starts at $18.00/hr with a Monday–Friday 7am–2pm schedule. You will help keep warehouses, offices, and breaks areas in top condition, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Ideal candidates have custodial or sanitation experience, and can read and communicate in English. The job offers benefits starting day one and potential overtime depending on needs.

Responsabilités

• Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans spills and damages; recoups and determines if resalable or disposal per safety rules.
• Performs light maintenance duties (bulbs, recyclables, etc.) and tracks supplies.
• Prepares reports documenting cleaning schedules and spillages.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Education/Training

Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

High School education or GED preferred.

Related Experience

Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience preferred.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

• Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans and up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoups damage and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
• Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e., replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice buildup, etc.).
• Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedules, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
• May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.
• Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
• Operates scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift if required to perform duties.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is 18.00.

As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus, shift differential, & freezer premium.
