Job summary

Versova seeks a Sanitation Technician to uphold cleaning, biosecurity, and daily operations in our processing facilities. You will help prepare for continuous production and perform basic maintenance tasks to support egg safety and quality.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, weekend/holiday availability, and a strong work ethic in a wet, indoor food processing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in packaging and stacking of eggs during production hours.

• Transport waste to disposal areas and maintain cleanliness of work zones.

• Perform daily and deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Conduct basic preventive maintenance checks and tasks on equipment.
• Identify and report potential maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Comply with all company policies, including food safety, safety, and animal welfare standards.

Job Summary

As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, biosecurity, and operational efficiency of our processing facilities. Your efforts directly support our mission to produce safe, high-quality eggs and ensure compliance with food safety standards. This role is essential to maintaining daily operations, preparing the facility for continuous production, and performing basic preventive maintenance tasks.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in the packaging and stacking of eggs during production hours

• Sanitize processing areas using high-pressure water hoses and approved cleaning chemicals

Preferred Qualifications

The work environment primarily consists of indoor activities within a food processing plant. Employees can expect exposure to wet and humid conditions, as well as various cleaning chemicals used in sanitation processes. The job involves regular physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday. To ensure safety, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including gloves, eye protection, and waterproof gear. Additionally, the role occasionally involves working with basic maintenance tools and equipment as part of preventive maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
