FedEx Supply Chain in Edwardsville, IL is seeking a Sanitation Worker to keep the warehouse and offices clean, safe, and compliant with company standards. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, maintaining sanitation logs, managing supplies, and ensuring a debris-free environment.

The role requires reading and speaking English, strong communication, and a team-oriented mindset. The shift is Saturday through Tuesday, 5:00am-3:00pm, with a $16.50/hr base pay plus a $1.00/hr shift

Qualifications

• Sanitation/janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in the warehouse and office safely and efficiently.
• Follow sanitation logs and requirements.
• Use and understand cleaning materials assigned to the role.
• Manage cleaning supply inventory and communicate reorder needs.
• Ensure floors are free of debris at all times.
• Maintain a clean and orderly facility appearance.
• Promote safety in all operations.
• Report unkempt areas to the supervisor.
• Remove snow as seasonally required.
• If trained on a sweeper scrubber, inspect equipment before and after use.
• Identify and address areas of waste to maintain flow.

Job Description

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for providing value to our customers by maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office environment in accordance with company standards. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate equipment throughout the warehouse and office in a safe, efficient manner aligned with company standards for quality and productivity.
• Follow assigned sanitation logs and requirements.
• Use and understand cleaning materials and liquids assigned to the role.
• Manage cleaning supply inventory and communicate reorder needs.
• Ensure floors are free of debris at all times.
• Maintain a clean and orderly appearance throughout the facility.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Report any unkempt areas from previous shifts to the supervisor.
• Remove snow as seasonally required.
• If trained on a sweeper scrubber, inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper working and cosmetic condition.
• Identify and address areas of waste to help maintain continuous operational flow.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma preferred.
• Sanitation and janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to complete assignments.
