Job summary

Bonduelle Fresh Americas in Irwindale is seeking a Sanitarian to support production teams in maintaining highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards. You will operate in refrigerated areas and assist a Level 2 Sanitarian to sanitize equipment and spaces.

The successful candidate will perform cleaning, documentation, and inspections, while following GMP, food safety, and PPE rules in a fast-paced setting. This on-site role requires physical capability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Follow all GMP procedures and food safety policies.
• Support production leads to maintain safety, quality and efficiency.
• Report equipment failures to the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Set up and tear down equipment for cleaning tasks.
• Clean and sanitize food contact and non-food contact surfaces.
• Inspect equipment before line release for sanitation standards.
• Document sanitation tasks in the checklist.
• Wear PPE and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

This role is a key position within our manufacturing plants and supports our production team leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production. This position works directly with an experienced Sanitarian (Level 2) to ensure the proper sanitation of production equipment and areas.

What you will Do:

• Follow all GMP procedures.
• Follow all Food Safety, Food Quality and Food Security Policies.
• Report any equipment failure to the Sanitation Manager/Supervisor.
• Set up and tear down production equipment as needed to perform specific cleaning applications.
• Use chemicals to clean and sanitize food contact and non-food contact surfaces.
• Inspect all equipment before releasing the line to the Sanitation Manager / Supervisor for inspection.
• Responsible for documentation of job tasks performed on sanitation checklist.
• Must wear protective equipment and follow all safety procedures (PPE’S).
• Use basic cleaning hands tools to ensure proper and safe cleaning of conveyor belts, floors/walls, trashdock, and other areas of the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
