Extensive travel is required across ED sites in the network. The position requires NYS RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, TNCC, ENPC and SANE certifications, with BSN enrollment for non-BSN holders.

Qualifications

• RN license required (NYS)
• 2 year/Associate RN degree required
• 4 year/Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Sexual Assault Examiner Class within 12 months of hire
• BSN enrollment within 4 years of hire for non-BSN holders
• At least 1 year hospital Med/Surg experience and Critical Care experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS within 30 days; TNCC within 1 year; ENPC/SANE required within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain, and support the SANE program.
• Develop orientation for new examiners.
• Manage on-call schedule for examiners.
• Explore grant funding opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Oversee collection, storage, and transport of exam kits per state rules.
• Educate staff on victims of violence and assault.
• Communicate with patients and families; assess needs.
• Document care plans and nursing interventions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and licensure.
• Perform duties per emergency/critical care scope of service.
• Follow patient safety practices and evidence-based standards.
