Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will provide compassionate care to sexual assault victims, conducting necessary exams and documentation. Candidates must have a valid Texas RN license and current SANE certification, or obtain it within six months of hire. Two years of experience in an Emergency Department or Acute Care setting is preferred. This role offers variable work hours and shifts on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing – BSN preferred.
• Valid and current Texas RN license.
• Current SANE certification from the Texas Attorney General office or in-progress certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current TNCC.
• Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to sexual assault victims accordingly.
• Conduct medical-forensic exams and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-ups.
