Job summary

Paris Baguette North America is seeking a reliable Sandwich Maker to join our Washington, DC team. Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and catering orders while maintaining high standards for quality, freshness, and food safety.

You will follow recipes, manage portions, and assist with deliveries and stock control in a fast-paced café environment. Weekend availability and early-morning shifts are required; 18.40/hour plus tips offers competitive pay for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to Paris Baguette recipes and standards.
• Complete daily food preparation and ensure ingredients are ready for service.
• Prepare and assist with catering orders, including larger-volume sandwich, wrap, and salad orders.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards consistently.
• Monitor inventory and help identify ingredients and supplies that need to be reordered.
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries from Sysco and other vendors.
• Stock and organize ingredients and supplies when deliveries arrive.
• Maintain an organized walk-in cooler and freezer, including properly storing and rotating newly delivered products.
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products using appropriate food-safety procedures.
• Restock the sandwich station and kitchen throughout the shift.
• Monitor product quality and freshness and help minimize unnecessary food waste.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, prep areas, and kitchen surfaces.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and work areas as needed.
• Work efficiently with the rest of the team during busy periods
