We are seeking a Sandwich Cook to prepare food items under the direction of the Cafe manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Use oven and stove to prepare food
• Clean produce
• Prepare food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages, etc.) according to specifications within a specified time limit
• Understand and follow food and knife safety procedures
• Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking ingredients, and rotating products
• Perform deep cleaning
• Keep track of waste items and maintain specified food portions
• Maintain familiarity with new and current recipes
• Use recipe builders and specifications to ensure product consistency

Secondary Functions

• Custodial duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or pursuing one
• Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably at least 3 months' experience in a food preparation environment; restaurant or retail experience preferred
• Ability to understand, read, speak, and write in English
