Job summary

SUBWAY Mount Morris is hiring a Sandwich Artist™ to serve customers, assist with food preparation and promote brand standards in a fast-paced environment. You will help maintain hygiene, follow safety procedures, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Reports to the General Manager. We offer both part-time and full-time schedules, with benefits including health insurance, 401K matching, paid time off, disability insurance, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced customer service environments is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform light lifting.
• Willingness to complete training and follow hygiene and food-safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Store merchandising: receive deliveries, count stock and manage displays.
• Food safety: follow Health Code and sanitation procedures, perform temperature checks.
• Security & loss prevention: safeguard cash and stock, follow security procedures.
• Cashier operations: handle end-of-shift cash counts and transactions.
• Occupational Health & Safety: maintain a safe work environment and report hazards.

Position Title: Sandwich Artist™

Reports To: General Manager

A Sandwich Artist™ serves and adds value to customer needs in an efficient and friendly manner. This position promotes SUBWAY® brand awareness and ensures hygiene standards are met.

Key Accountabilities

Store Merchandising

• Receive deliveries and check in stock
• Daily bread counts
• Food preparation including bread and cookie baking

Food Safety

• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Ensure food is prepared and stored and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Carry out temperature checks and record as per company process
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules as per cleaning chart

Security & Loss Prevention

• Take precautions to prevent theft of, and damage to, the stock or store
• Follow company security procedures
• Secure cash and stock from loss or theft

Cashier Operations

• Count end of shift monies and drop in safe

Occupational Health & Safety

• Follow safety procedures to prevent injury
• Provide a safe work environment for employees and customers

Personal Qualities

• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet SUBWAY® and customer expectations
• Work as a team member
• Complete training courses as directed by the SUBWAY® Manager

• Ensure customers are served in an efficient and friendly manner
• Maintain high personal standards in both presentation and work habits
