Job summary

SUBWAY in Fairmont, WV is seeking a Sandwich Artist™ to serve customers and uphold the SUBWAY brand while maintaining high hygiene standards at our location in Fairmont, West Virginia.

You will assist with food preparation, stock deliveries, cashier duties, and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check in stock
• Daily bread counts
• Food preparation including bread and cookies
• Comply with Food Code of Practice and Health & Safety standards
• Carry out temperature checks and record per process
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Secure cash and stock from loss or theft
• Count end of shift monies and drop in safe
• Maintain high personal appearance in the provided uniform
• Work as a team member and complete training as directed by the SUBWAY Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary

A Sandwich Artist™ serves and adds value to customer needs in an efficient and friendly manner. This position promotes SUBWAY® brand awareness and ensures hygiene standards are met.

Key Accountabilities

Store Merchandising

• Receive deliveries and check in stock
• Daily bread counts
• Food preparation including bread and cookie baking

Food Safety

• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Ensure food is prepared and stored and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Carry out temperature checks and record as per company process
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules as per cleaning chart

Security & Loss Prevention

• Take precautions to prevent theft of, and damage to, the stock or store
• Follow company security procedures
• Secure cash and stock from loss or theft

Cashier Operations

• Count end of shift monies and drop in safe

Occupational Health & Safety

• Follow safety procedures to prevent injury
• Provide a safe work environment for employees and customers

Personal Qualities

• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet SUBWAY® and customer expectations
• Work as a team member
• Complete training courses as directed by the SUBWAY® Manager

Ensure customers are served in an efficient and friendly manner
