Qualifications

• BA/BS, law or business degree required or equivalent experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience developing, negotiating, and implementing contracts or plans.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and ArcGIS or similar GIS tools.
• Willingness to work long hours during burn season and in challenging field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead restoration and management of TNC preserves in the Sandhills for biodiversity and resilience.
• Oversee the Sandhills fire management program and burn plans in coordination with partners.
• Supervise four full-time staff and seasonal fire crews; manage budgets and contracting.
• Develop partnerships with federal/state/local conservation groups and private landowners.
• Maintain restoration databases and GIS data; ensure compliance with policies.
