Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Abilene, TX is seeking an experienced Sandblaster Operator to join their manufacturing team on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule. You will operate sandblasting equipment, remove coatings, and inspect surfaces to meet quality standards.

This role requires stamina for 12-hour shifts and strict safety discipline in a dusty, loud industrial environment. Candidates with prior sandblasting experience and ability to work independently or as part of a team will fit

Qualifications

• Previous sandblasting experience preferred.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment safely.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Comfortable working around dust and loud machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare and clean metal surfaces.
• Remove paint, rust, dirt, and other coatings from materials.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Set up and safely operate blasting equipment and related tools.
• Follow production schedules and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Perform other general industrial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous sandblasting or industrial experience preferred.
• Experience operating industrial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a physically demanding environment.
